Who is John Hancock?

I wasn’t sure what to expect going in to Hancock. Critics slam it citing the story line was weak and failed to hold the audience captive, while reviewers rave about it’s offerings of action, drama, romance, and comedy, all rolled into one.
Admittedly, my thoughts are that if Will Smith is starring in the movie it’s going to be a slam dunk. I have yet to see a movie Will Smith is in and be disappointed. Based on that alone, I decided to see the film and draw my own conclusions….
I thought I would repost something from a long while back that I have been thinking about while I am on my so called vacation. This post still rings true today, and I thought some of you newer fans might relate. Hope you enjoy it! See you all with something fresh next week
Ok. Maybe not [...]
I was hesitant to watch the first Hostel, thinking it may be too much like SAW which I had a real problem with. Too real. Too gross. Too twisted. I prefer my horror to be more unrealistic, less believable, so I can sleep at night. I can handle any possible nightmares of zombies and vampires and werewolves. I cannot handle nightmares of sociopaths wanting to sell my innards on the black market.
Or to kill me for the sheer joy of it. That would suck.
I’ve decided since I am back up at the moment (believe you me, I am holding my breath on this one) that I would not only let you in on another little secret about me, but write a review of a movie in a genre I have not yet broached: Action.
That’s right: Action.
Because so much of me wants to really wail on my host server in a zombified frenzied sort of way…. and I can’t.
And the little secret about me??

I haven’t been much for writing these last few days. I can’t seem to get my brain to focus long enough. Old age perhaps? Anyway, I have spent some time surfing the web in hunt for zombie parts. Sites filled with blood and guts. Sites dedicated to dismemberment.
You know - cool shit.
So if any of you have visited my blog in the last few days, then you would know it has been in “maintenance mode.” It would seem the theme I PAID for is CRAP. I had been having minor trouble with it since day one but have learned to live with those problems.

If you think Stephen King has a twisted mind, you might be interested to know that in the printed world, he’s really rather tame. While Stephen King weaves a story of disbelief and macabre, he does not shock with the grotesque.
Not like some.
I realized something today.
Not all of you visit my blog for the content.
Some of you visit just because of my charming personality and sparkling wit. Of course it helps that I am easy on the eyes, but being as I am not one to toot my own horn, let’s move along, shall we?
You think you know, but you don’t. You think you would survive, be strong enough, be prepared…. but chances are you are not.
