Blog Recommendations #1
Here on my blog I've received a large display of good wishes regarding my incapacitated state, and I must say that even though this foot thing has me wanting to torture small kiddies by offering them cookies from a jar that I have glued the lid shut on so all they can do is grunt and cry because they can't get it open (and I of course can't help cuz I'm in a weakened state (hehe) )- well, I must say that I want to share the love by sharing with you all out there in the blogosphere the websites I enjoy the most and visit almost daily.
I know there are many people out there looking for sites that will sell the big ticket on getting rich over night, or how to live your dream by making your fortune online versus punching a time clock, but I tend to gravitate to sites that take my mind off my obsession for a winning lottery ticket or an inheritance from a gazillionaire uncle I never knew I had. I like sites that make me think of things other than the almighty dollar; sites that make me think outside the box. Or at least, from a different perspective inside the box.
How do you spell F'N Adorable??? I spell it D-A-I-S-Y! This cat has it going on and could get away with charging for it. I'd pay. And I'm willing to bet that unless you are the type that likes to kick small puppies (and if you are I need to introduce you to my buddies Smith and Wesson ) you would be willing to pay her, too - or at least share your toys. Daisy does so love her toys!
.45 Caliber Headspace
.45 (I'm gonna call him .45 since I don't know his real name. He doesn't post it on his website as he's probably one of those people that's convinced "The Man" is watching his every move - through his TV, his microwave, his toaster - convinced that "The Man" will undoubtedly see though his evasive tactics if he were to post his name on his blog resulting in it being shut down (since he does like to ramble on about his various escapades, many of which should be censored) and that would definitely be counterproductive to his amusement factor....
So anyway, as I was saying, .45 has a very descriptive style of writing that even Stephen King would be envious of (if he were the blog reading type) and has a knack for sucking you into his story, not caring that it really has no direction, just thankful that he chose to share it with you.
In all actuality, I'm rather jealous of his style of writing. It's very inventive, and I'd be really impressed to learn it's without the aid of hallucinogenics.
I stumbled across this site while Entrecard dropping and was very glad I did. James D.- (I know his name cuz he's not worried about "The Man" - he has his name plastered as pretty as you please right there at "posted by...")... now where was I?
Oh yeh..... so James reviews movies. His movies however, aren't all fluff and guts like mine tend to be; he actually reviews movies of substance that might actually teach the viewer something other than how to get yourself killed in 5 scenes or less.....
I enjoy his blog because it introduces me to movies I would have otherwise overlooked, and being as I live in the po-dunk town of Disgusta Augusta Georgia that specializes in pretty much golf and ....... well.... golf.... I need the exposure James' website provides.
I love this site because Ryne reviews the same kind of cheesy crap great horror movies that I do. He does tend to like movies with a little more substance than myself, such as the SAW series (which if anyone knows me at all, knows that I do not have the cajones to handle that kind of horror unless I'm drinking heavily and being somewhat distracted by shadows on the wall.)
That aside, Ryne does share my appreciation of the good stuff and shares his thoughts accordingly. It's nice to be able to show this blog to my hubby who is convinced that I am an uber dork and alone in my fetish for B, C and yes even Z grade movies. This way he can see that there really are other people who watch this crap stuff too........
Thats one of the awesome things about the internet and the blogosphere. It offers validation. Validation that even though I may be the uber dork, I am not alone. WE are not alone.
Which leads me to the next blog of enjoyment:
Monkey Fables and Tales
Yet another completely nonsensical site filled with drivel, butt fuzz and pretty much anything else that catches Monkey's fancy (and yet another dude (dudette?) with issues on divulging their true identity. Apparently this "MAN" character I refer to is bigger than I realize and perhaps I too should dye my hair and change my name to avoid detection.......... oh wait.... I've already done both of those...... damn......)
So anyway, this site is almost as good as .45's but I have not been reading it as long so I cannot swear to the accuracy of this statement. Perhaps I will do a follow-up at a later date. Or perhaps you guys can tell me if I am way off base.....
By all means check these sites out. If you enjoy my site at all, you will love the ones I've recommended above. And if you don't like my site.... well, you will probably still love the sites I recommended as they are wayyyyy better than mine. Trust me. Check'em out and see for yourself.
And then come back tomorrow, when I review even more of my favorite blogs.... better yet, grab my feed so you won't forget and potentially miss out. Come on...... you know you want to........

aww, shucks. Thanks so much Petra. This is all very nice of you to say. My identity isn’t a total mystery. Claire actually clued in, but I don’t exactly hand out business cards. Though it’s true that I don’t like the Man, I don’t fear him like I fear some ex-psychos that stalk me online. This is why I don’t use “social” web sites anymore. It makes it too easy for people you don’t want to hear from to contact you. Sure you can block them, but as I’ve found, they will keep coming back under different accounts. I wrote about this once if interested. Funny that I mention the Man in the same post.
It’s true I have no direction. I always start with a central idea, but sometimes get so sidetracked that I don’t even end up using it. Early on I was writing really, really long posts that I would have to break into 2-3 parts, and even then, I figured noone would care to follow. It takes a painful amount of self-restraint to reel it in sometimes, but I’m sure it’s for the best.
I’m glad you enjoy coming by. I certainly enjoying having you and visiting your site as well. When I first started commenting here, I figured you’d just think I was linkdropping. The reality is that I love horror movies too, so like participating in your dialogs.
No, you’re not alone.
.45′s last blog post..I’m not the Messiah, I’m a very naughty boy.
I have impressive stalker like qualities and hunted down more info on Mr.45, not in the same way as his exes though, I am not a psycho
I have the same opinion about his writing style, it definitely reels you in
Love Daisy too, knew her before entrecard through another blog chum of mine.
Also a big fan of Monkey Tale, who also has had problems with the ‘woman’ not the man and thats why no personal info, there are apparently a lot of looney women about.
Will check out the other two

Thanks for including me in your blog recommendations!
It means a lot to me, especially since I just started doing this whole bloggin’ thang a few months ago. I really enjoy your site as well, and it’s nice to form a good friendship among horror blogs that creates the ULTIMATE experience in horror blogging.
Ryne’s last blog post..Movie Review – The Screaming Skull
.45 – at least where I am concerned, find comfort in knowing that the only one I stalk is my dearly beloved hubby, much to his dismay, as he never gets a moment of peace from my mouth and its incessant need to ramble. I’m hoping that I can convert my mouth to paper so that I give my hubby a break every once in awhile, ultimately saving my marriage.
CLAIRE – Its a good thing I am secure in knowing that I am one hot tamale otherwise I might start to think you are picking on me and that would not be nice. I would have to retaliate of course, I’m just not sure yet how I would go about it…….
Wowie! Thanks ever so much for writing such nice things about me. That makes me feel happy inside. I will share my toys with you! Except not my catnip. That belongs to me. You do not want my catnip, do you? Because that’s mine. Even though I could give it up at any time. If I wanted to.
Daisy the Curly Cat’s last blog post..Fashion Friday: Feline Diva!
Man did you pick some winners. I love all these sites. As far as movies, the Evil Dead series is great. The first one for some reason scared the crap out of me. The next one was sooo campy, I laughed my butt off. The possessed hand was so classic. I loved the Saw series. Awesome!! Great site.
ettarose’s last blog post..Can you Forget Your First Ever?
Your expanding my zombie horizons
and I agree with a lot of your zombie philosophies
Also I love your site, zombies scare the shit out of me and I cant watch horror films due to my overactive imagination. Well the exceptions are Vampire and Werewolf movies, as I LOVE them
And as long as I can blame you for the nightmares, lol
