Lurple & Yummy & Joe – definitely watch the DVD. They also crank up the sex factor on the first episode to rope people in…. worked on me. Maybe it will for you guys too.

Max – I think you should give this one a try. Granted its not zombies which is a definite deterrent, however vampires and sex and violence all in one shot is pretty damned entertaining.

Tim – I meant to comment on the softcore porn feel this show gave but apparently I forgot to. There is definitely a trashy side!

Skinny – sadly living in GA, we have an over abundance of really bad southern accents. Granted there is no “Bayou” tone, but the redneck hick, I mean southern drawl is enough to make anyone insane. I confess tho that the gap in Paquin’s teeth is like nails on a chalk board for me. I do enjoy her as an actress tho. And I think the producers WANT us to think that the dog and her boss are somehow tied together. The whole shapeshifter thing would be a great tangent.

Regretful – that damned Blogger crap won’t show my individual page links. It’s ticking me off and the yokels in Blogger help are apparently just as inept as I to figure it out.

My wife and I started watching it during the middle of the first episode. My first reaction was, what the hell are these atrocious accents? But we kept watching, and by the end we both agreed that we needed to add it to the DVR. It has a bit of a hypnotic quality, especially when they focus on Paquin. I started to watch it on HBO the other night about midnight. Fell asleep though. Something about vampires I think. All I can remember is a guy in a 7-11 bought a 6-pack of blood (True Blood, probably) and told this other guy if he ever impersonated a vampire again, he would kill him. That's when I dozed off. Sounded pretty violent, though. Oh, and I remember this little blondie that was hot for this bloodsucker dude. I guess the danger turned her on. She wasn't really naked enough to keep me awake, though. If you say this is good, I will try and watch it again. They will probably show it 7 zillion times, knowing HBO. They have HBO in Georgia?
