I so wanted to see The Invisible when it was first released in theaters however being that there is an “us” versus a mere “me” in my life, it’s a joint decision and he wasn’t as intrigued as I.
Needless to say I was not happy to have to wait for this movie to be released on DVD. Yet no matter how many times I have watched it since the DVD release, I experience it for the first time each time, as subtle references and foreshadowing previously missed become exposed……

This post isn’t about a horror movie, but it is about a B-movie. A B-movie featuring Tom Laughlin, the actor that placed Billy Jack on the map.
For those of you who don’t know, there is a whole series of films that focuses on a “half-breed” Native American, Green Beret Vietnam War veteran, a hapkido master, and gunslinger, that goes by the name of Billy Jack.

Martian Child is a romantic drama starring John Cusack (whom I love) as David Gordon, a recently widowed, successful science fiction writer who longs to do something meaningful with his life. What he decides that something is, is to adopt a child.
His sister, played by none other than his real life sister Joan Cusack (whom I also love) is opposed to the idea, being a mother herself, thinking he is taking on more of a task than he realizes. David, not even sure he himself thinks its a good idea, falters, but is eventually won over by the ever allusive Dennis.
Who is John Hancock?

I wasn’t sure what to expect going in to Hancock. Critics slam it citing the story line was weak and failed to hold the audience captive, while reviewers rave about it’s offerings of action, drama, romance, and comedy, all rolled into one.
Admittedly, my thoughts are that if Will Smith is starring in the movie it’s going to be a slam dunk. I have yet to see a movie Will Smith is in and be disappointed. Based on that alone, I decided to see the film and draw my own conclusions….
I’ve decided since I am back up at the moment (believe you me, I am holding my breath on this one) that I would not only let you in on another little secret about me, but write a review of a movie in a genre I have not yet broached: Action.
That’s right: Action.
Because so much of me wants to really wail on my host server in a zombified frenzied sort of way…. and I can’t.
And the little secret about me??
I f’n love action flicks!
As some of you may have noticed, I have an appreciation for the “female species.” Most recently I sang praises to Angelina Jolie - and deservedly so. This next show of appreciation for the female “stud” is Jessica Alba. 
What do you expect to see when you go see a movie starring Angelina Jolie? Depth? Drama? Action? Or sex??
The hype has been building for weeks now and I too was caught up in the frenzy.
Everywhere you turn there are ads and slogans - trailers and interviews - all promising great things for The Dark Night…..
Could they be right? Could The Dark Knight be all “that and a bag of chips??”

I love animated movies.
Not animae - animated. As in Shrek; Monsters Inc; Ice Age; Happy Feet (absolutely LOVELOVELOVE Happy Feet but I will save that for another post)….
….because this post is about a classic, all time feel good, fabulous animated film called….
