My Blogging Overhaul - more to come

When I began this blog I was confident I would be able to maintain it as well as my “other” blog which basically consists of mindless ramblings, an original poem or two (no laughing allowed), an occasional review of stuff, and overly opinionated thoughts. While I have an unnatural fetish for cheesy B movies and their clones, I also have an unnatural fetish for stating my opinion on pretty much anything and everything under the sun; most of which amuses (interests) only me.
Since that time, I have decided that I have the attention span of a gnat and maintaining two blogs is not conducive to productivity in either one as a separate entity. By combining them however, I feel confident that I will be able to nurture and develop my blog which ultimately would increase my amusement. And if that amusement were to spill over into someone else’s boredom… well, that would just be a much appreciated bonus that benefits everyone involved.
While SiteHopping, dropping Entrecards, and Cataloging, I have found several other blogs that catch my various areas of interest. Here are a handful of them:
A Little Piece of Me (great photos and interesting posts of everyday life)
The Blog Entepreneur (because I need all the help I can get in learning how to make a little cash-o-la online. Subscribers are gravy!)
Worth the Popcorn (not scary movies, but hey - I like them all)
Oh Look, Krill!(how can you not love a blog named on behalf of Dorry?? That totally tops me naming my Blood Parrot after her.)
Movie Cat (I love movies and I love cats - and I love the artwork on this site almost more than the two put together….. oh wait! He does put them together!
)
MyGeekLife is “a social network for passionate geeks.” Wear it like a badge of honor. I do!
So - I made it a mission to create my own blog that others might find of equal interest as they site hop or drop cards, etc. I wanted a domain name that didn’t tie to anything specifically yet embraced my inner weirdness without being totally lame. One that could combine this one with my 5000 others in a place where they could all happily reside.
I found one I really liked on auction at Go Daddy but got outbid while I was at work. What are the odds? I mean this domain had NO visits whatsoever in the month or so it was listed; there were no bids when I placed mine, and there was less than 12 hours left to go in the auction. So how is that someone, as weird as me, searching on the keyword “NERD” (Hello??? Are there really that many of us out there????) and swipes my domain out from under me. Yeh Yeh ya snooze ya lose; I know all that. I also know that I didn’t want to pay $30 for a domain that was nothing more than an outlet for my frustrations.
That being said, I lost out on “thenerdzone.com” and got “zoobrew.net” instead. Its really rather sad how many websites are out there and actually active that promote nerd-ism and geek-i-ness. Scary even, which when you think about it - kind of makes it appropriate for this website.
Over the next couple of weeks you will see a change to my website. One being a redirect to the new domain, and two being an expansion of subject matter. Not that anyone other than myself will be interested, but hey? I’ve been proven wrong once today; twice would be just as nice.

I love your ‘10 Reasons I wish my Husband were a Zombie’ by the way. Good luck with the new domain.
“A Little Piece Of Me” is also one of my favorites, and Claire was the one who introduced me to Entrecard, which is how I found your blog!
Love the new template! Adding you to my faves @ Entrecard.
