Scream 4 – lame or … ???

Rumor has it a new trilogy beginning with Scream 4 is in the works. Apparently Courtney Cox and David Arquette are on board, and the legend Wes Craven is considering it, however prissy Neve Campbell seems to have had her fill and said NO to any reprisals of her role as Sidney Prescott.

Honestly I have to say that is not such a bad thing considering that I had gotten rather sick of her "woe is me" role as a victim. I realize she always emerges the victor from the first 3, however enough is enough. It's like nails on a chalkboard or wet kittens yowling..... talk about annoying!!

But I confess, the Scream Trilogy is the kind of camp that is right up my alley. The sad part is that as #3 rolled around, the directors felt the need to clean up the blood spillage as well as to eliminate juvenile sexual innuendos. Not cool if you ask me. That negatively altered the entire aura of the trilogy. Did I mention not cool? But like a zit that needs to be popped, any installment needs to be watched, regardless of the lame factor - even if it is just a rumor - and I will be there, in front of the line if #4 does come to fruition. Just like a groupie. And if there is another name you would call it, don't. I can just imagine what those names are.....
