Supernatural - I love this show. Altho I do think Sam in a little lacking in the brawn department. I hate that his character is such a wimp with next to no backbone at all. I am sure there are some chicks out there who like the sensitive type, but how does that protect you when you’ve got some flesh eating demon thing trying to rip your brains out? Plus he has that lazy eye thing that is really creepy (and before you guys go giving me crap for poking at his lazy eye I would like to point out that I too am a victim of lazy eye. I wore patches and bifocals since they could fit on my face. I have earned the right to poke back!)
Now Dean on this other hand is not lacking at all. He’s loyal, tough, and knows how to kick ass. He wouldn’t let some thing eat my brains out. He’d kill it off long before I was completely scalped. Plus he’s got heart; he just doesn’t let it dictate his actions. Call me crazy but that tough exterior is what I call sexy!
I was unsure of what to expect with this years season opener. Last season had a few episodes that were a bit cheesier then even I like. Some that even fit the “jumping the shark” theory but I must say, they totally delivered with “Dream a Little Dream of Me.”
For those of you unfamiliar with the show, Supernatural is about two brothers, Sam & Dean, searching for their missing dad while chasing down evil forces that claimed the life of their mother and the life of the Sam’s girlfriend. They travel the country in a ‘67 Chevy Impala, encountering paranormal phenomena and demons who want them dead.
Some of you might recognize Sam as the actor who played Dean Forester in the Gilmore Girls. He also had a spot in the horror movie “House of Wax” (which I loved, BTW). You can definitely see how he is progressing as an actor, although I do think shows like this typecast a person.
Jensen Ackles, who plays the Dean, is also no stranger to television having been nonimated for three Daytime Emmy’s for his role on “Days of Our Lives,” as well as appearing in various television roles including “Smallville,” “Dark Angel” and “Dawson’s Creek.” He delivers a very believable character, willing to give up his life to save those most important to him.
I don’t know how much longer Supernatural will last. This season only has three more episodes due to the writers strike, and since it competes in a time slot against ABC’s “Lost” its anyones guess. I just hope it’s around long enough to answer all the questions it has caused - will Sam lead Demons in an inevitable war? Will Dean die and spend eternity in hell, becoming one of the demons he fights so hard to destroy? And what ever happened to their mother? Will we ever know exactly what killed her and why Sam was chosen to be “the one?”
I guess we’ll just have to “stay tuned” altho if any of you have any information, please feel free to post it in comments. I’d really like to know!

I have this insane love for Dean that even the significant other is jealous. Dean can definitely protect you from what every scary demon flesh eating thing that is out to get you.
I totally relate. Many a Thursday nite’s conversation consist of “honest Honey. I just want to watch Supernatural ‘cuz nothing else is on!”
